“How to add wellness to your everyday life” sounds very odd to some people. people of today live their best lives through a lens thanks to social media. We tend to ignore what is happening behind the scene and focus more on the camera. The question you should be asking is how can I live better?
You are the only one (with a couple of your friends) that know what is really happening. Another question you should ask yourself is “do I want this situation to continue?” Life was made for you to live smart and live meaningfully.
One way you can add wellness to your everyday life is by having a “me-time.” I personally feel that you should create enough time to take good care of yourself. You should have the right amount of sleep your body needs and eat right! This morning, I was talking to some friends and I said that people underestimate the power of food. I eat every time. I eat when I am sad, happy, nervous, frustrated and trust me I always feel better. If you feel the need to pamper yourself, go ahead and do it. Whatever you do, make sure you do it whole heartedly. If you are feeling heavy hearted, you can take a walk to clear up your head or look for someone to talk to. Once you can do this, you are one step to having wellness in your life.
Another way you can add wellness to your life is by finding your inner beauty. Confidence is the key to finding your inner beauty. Don’t let anybody tell you that you are not beautiful. I am pretty sure that there is something beautiful about you, it just takes more than a glance to notice it. What you can do in times like this, is to spend more quality time with people who cherish you. Say no to time wasters and before you know it, you would have all the confidence you need.
Happiness seems like it is impossible because you are living in Nigeria. I get it but then you just have to look for a reason to be happy. I might sound selfish right now but it is the truth. People will always die and someday, you will die too. Life is too short to be sad for a long period of time. Your boyfriend broke up with you, get sad, get mad and move on! Don’t stay too long grieving. It would only hurt more!I always try not to live in regret so I basically do what I should do when I feel the need to. I hate when I have to say “I should have done this, I should have done that” Live a life that when you look down memory lane, you’d smile.
The final way to have wellness in your life is love. People say love is blind but then you still have to love. Don’t say because you got your heart broken you shouldn’t love. Heart break hurts like hell but you still have to love. You have to get mushy and do the things you can only blame on love.
